Eagles Compete at Paul Kaiser Track and Field Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The men's track and field team competed at the Paul Kaiser Track and Field Classic this weekend.

Evan Ulrich (Homer, NY/Homer) was the team's top finisher, placing first in the 5000-meter race with a time of 15:54.86. Conor Dimond (Summerhill, Pa./Forest Hills) finished the race in 8th (16:24.85) place with Nicholas Simpson (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) behind in 11th (16:39.86).

In the 200-meter race, Storm Fridinger (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) finished 34th, running a time of 23.46. Fridinger also placed 18th in the 400-meter (51.53).

Petro Sokirniy (Huntingdon Valley, Pa/Upper Moreland) ran a time of 1:56.38 in the 800-meter race for a 9th place finish with Steven Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) trailing behind in 27th place (2:03.25).

Ryan Bogdan (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) placed 15th in the 1500-meter, running a time of 4:12.28. In the 3000-meter race, Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) placed 4th with a 9:20.39 time with teammates Ben Martin (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot), Vinnie Caroselli (Hershey, Pa./Milton Hershey), and Kevin Schofield (Madison, CT/Daniel Hand) placing 6th, 7th, and 8th, respectively.

In the field, Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) placed 8th with a throw that measured 48.26m. Paterno also placed 18th in discus (38.13). 

Juniata will compete next weekend at the Landmark Championships at Moravian.
