BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Juniata men's track and field team competed at the Greyhound Invitational this weekend.
In the 1500-meter race, freshman Evan Ulrich (Homer, NY/Homer) placed 9th with a time of 4:10.78. He was followed by fellow Eagle Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) in 14th place (4:18.62) and Ben Martin (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) in 16th (4:19.93).
Alexander Jones (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) placed fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase, running a time of 10:15.81. Junior Storm Fridinger (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) placed 10th in the 400m (51.31) and 15th in the 200-meter dash (23.70). In the 800-meter race, Andrew Meci (Woodstock, NY/Onteora) ran a 2:00.43 to place 15th.
In the field, Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, Pa/Waynesboro Area) placed 13th in the hammer event, reaching a distance of 41.76m. Paterno also competed in shot put, placing 18th with a throw that measured 41.76m, and in discus where he placed 14th (38.02m). Daniel Fernandez (Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) placed 22nd in discus with a throw of 34.62.
Fridinger cleared a height of 1.80m to place 11th in the high jump.
