Several Top Results Recorded For Juniata Men at Landmark Championship

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's track and field team placed fourth at the Landmark Championships held at Oller Track. Day two of competition was held on Sunday.

 

Sophomore Storm Fridinger (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg)  had the best result on the day for the men. He was second in the high jump with a measure of 1.93m. Senior Matthew Kinnebrew (Landsdowne, Va./Stonebridge) placed third in both the high and triple jumps. In the high jump, Kinnebrew cleared a height of 1.83m. In the triple jump, he reached a distance of 13.01m.

 

Junior Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro) placed eighth in the shot put event reaching a distance of 12.28m. In javelin, freshman Madison Matylewicz (York, Pa/Central York) came in sixth with a throw that measured 47.77.

 

Fridinger ran a time of 50.88 in the 400m, finishing fifth. In the 800m, Steven Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) was seventh with his time of 1:58.83.

 

Senior Jacob Krott (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) inched his way in the fifth place spot in the Juniata record book for the 3000m steeplechase event with a time of 10:16.27. Krott was sixth overall.

 

In the 4x100m, Camden Kasik (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein), Trenton Barnes (Hopewell, Pa./Northern Bedford), Fridinger and Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass./St. John's Prep) were fourth with a time of 44.75. MacMullin, Fridinger, Petro Sokirniy (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Upper Moreland), and Guetzlaff finished the 4x400 at 3:31.66 with a fourth place finish as well.
