Men's Track and Field Competes at Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The men's track and field team competed at Shippensburg University on Wednesday.

 

Freshman Camden Kasik placed 9th in the 100m dash with a time of 11.88. Kasik also finished the 200m race in 15th place.

 

Fellow freshman Evan MacMullin ran a time of 53.78 in the 400m, finishing 6th. In the 800m, Petro Sokirniyplaced 8th with a time of 1:59.22.

 

Andrew Meci led the Eagles in the 1500m, placing 11th and finishing with a time of 4:19.69. Lucas Simpsonfinished the race in 13th place with Eric Savarese rounding out the race in 14th.  In the 3000m, Kevin Schofieldplaced 6th, running a time of 9:31.04.

 

In the field events, Storm Fridinger cleared a height of 1.88m, placing 7th. Senior Matthew Kinnebrew finished 7th in the long jump with a jump measuring 5.63m

 

Junior Andrew Paterno placed 8th in the hammer event, throwing a distance of 45.91m.

 

The Eagles will return to action this weekend at the Widener Invitational.
