SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Juniata men's track and field team recorded many top-10 performances at the Susquehanna Invitational Friday night.
Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro) led the way for the throwers and took eighth in the weight throw at 13.47m. Paterno's toss earned him the No.3 spot in Juniata's all-time record books. He also finished 18th in the shot put at 11.83m.
Matthew Kinnebrew (Lansdowne, Va. / Stonebridge) finished 10th in the long jump with a leap of 6.15m. He finished eighth in the triple jump at 12.49m.
Steven Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa. / Parkland) ran a 2:01.85 in the 800m and finished fifth. Guetzlaff's time just edged him in to the top-five times in the 800m at Juniata. Jake Hartberger previously held the spot with a time of 2:01.88. Petro Sokirniy (Huntingdon Valley, Pa. / Upper Moreland) followed in sixth place at 2:02.08.
The 4x800m relay team of Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / St. John's Prep), Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) , Conor Dimond (Summerhill, Pa. / Forest Hills) and Dima Kunstbeck (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona) finished in third place with a time of 8:28.89.
The Eagles return to Selinsgrove next weekend for the Susquehanna Open at 9:30am in their final meet before the Landmark Conference Championships.
