SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Juniata men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Susquehanna Crusader Challenge on Saturday.
On the women's side, junior Katie Fisher (Rochester, NY / Greece Athena) cleared a height of 1.47m in the high jump, placing 10th. Senior Jecenia Duran (Temple, Pa. / Olley Valley) finished 25th in the 800m, running a time of 2:39.58. Alissa Sellers (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) ran a time of 27.86, placing 14th in the 200m.
Freshman Yanibel Collado (Freeport, NY / Forest Hills) ran a time of 11:09.18 in the 3000m, finishing 13th. Collado's time ranks fifth in the Juniata all-time records.
For the men in the high jump, senior Matthew Kinnebrew (Lansdowne, Va. / Stonebridge) gained the second place spot in the Juniata all-time record books, clearing a height of 1.88m and placing 6th. Kinnebrew also placed 6th in the long jump, jumping a distance of 6.41m. Sophomore Storm Fridinger (Shippensburg, Pa / Shippensburg) placed 9th in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.83m and improving his personal best.
Petro Sokirniy (Huntingdon Valley, Pa. / Upper Moreland) placed 21st in the one mile run, finishing with a time of 4:41.52. Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / St. John's Prep) placed 25th in the 800m, running a time of 2:07.95. MacMullin was followed by Dima Kunstbeck (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona) in 30th place.
Conor Dimond (Summerhill, Pa. / Forest Hills) placed 11th in the 3000m, finishing with a time of 9:23.7. He was followed by Ben Martin (New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot) in 13th place, running a time of 9:26.84.
Both teams will compete again Feb. 12 at Susquehanna University.
