Men’s Track and Field Competes at Widener Invitational

CHESTER, PA- The Juniata men's track and field team competed on Saturday at the Widener Invitational. There were a few standouts for the Eagles.

 

Tyler Mandley (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area) had two top-five finishes. He came in fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.58. He was also fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 56.87.

 

Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland) had two 13th place results. His time in the 800-meter run was 1:59.04 and in the 1500 meter run it was 4:03.99.

 

The 4x400 relay team of Mandley, Jaie Johnson (Reading, PA/Reading), AJ Hutchison (Loveland, CO/Greeley Central), and Trevor Stephens (Bethesda, MD/Bethesda-Chevy Chase) were seventh with a final time of 3:28.82.

 

In field events, Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) turned in two top-10 showings. He was fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 42.46 meters. In the shot put, his 13.12 meter measure placed him in seventh.

 

The men will compete at the Paul Kaiser Invitational next Saturday on the campus of Shippensburg.
