Men’s Track & Field Compete at Marietta Open

MARIETTA, OH – The Juniata men's track and field team traveled to compete at the Marietta College Open Saturday.

 

In the field, freshman Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro) threw a mark of 13.11m to finish eighth in the shot put. This mark puts Paterno in the top five of the all-time performers in school history. Sophomore J.R. Hemminger (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) finished tenth in the pole vault at a height of 3.65m. In the weight throw, senior Steve Kidhardt (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) finished 16th while having a personal-best throw of 11.11m.

 

In the 800, sophomore R.J. Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) crossed the line 11th with a time of 2:07.99. Fellow sophomore Jacob Krott (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) finished 17th in 2:12.39.

 

The Eagles next compete in the 16th Annual Bison Open, hosted by Bucknell University, at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31. The meet will continue on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 9:30 a.m.
