SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Juniata men's track and field team kicked off the indoor season at Susquehanna University, competing in the Orange & Maroon Classic, Friday evening.
The distance medley relay team of seniors Nate Alter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) and Connor Robinson (Asheville, N.C./Asheville), and sophomores Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) and R.J. Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) came in third place, crossing the line in 11:09.82.
Junior Tyler Mandley (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) picked up a fourth place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.07.
In the field, senior Justin Herr (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) took fourth place in the long jump with a mark of 12.08m.
The Eagles next compete in the 16th Annual Bison Open, hosted by Bucknell University, at 4 p.m. on Jan. 31. The meet will continue on Feb. 1 at 9:30 a.m.
