
ORLANDO, Fla.- The Juniata men's tennis team completed their spring break trip at the UTSA National Campus, falling in a 0-9 sweep to Transylvania on Wednesday morning.
Arsen Tabaldyev and Arthur DeYoung paired for first doubles and lost 5-8, while Basile Gandon and Ross Conway lost in second doubles 2-8. Utsav Deravariya and Dillon Murphy were unsuccessful in third doubles, losing 5-8.
Tabaldyev pushed first singles to the third set before falling 1-6, 6-1, 7-10. Gandon lost 2-6, 1-6 in second singles, while Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez had to retire from third singles while the score was 5-7, 2-4. Conway lost 1-6, 1-6 in fourth singles, and DeYoung fell 5-7, 2-6 in fifth singles. Murphy lost 1-6, 4-6 in sixth singles.
Juniata ends their trip to the UTSA National Campus in Orlando splitting the week at 2-2.
They'll next play next Thursday, March 21, at 5:00 pm, when they host Penn State Altoona at the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.
