HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team was able to beat incoming storms to make their match against DeSales official, winning 8-0 before inclement weather prevented them from finishing sixth singles.
Starting in doubles play, Francisco Aran Martin and Arsen Tabaldyev won 6-2 in first doubles, Basile Gandon and Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez beat their opponent 6-3 in second doubles, and Ross Conway and Arthur DeYoung won 6-3 in third doubles.
In singles play, Martin won 6-1, 6-2 in first singles, while Tabaldyev beat his opponent 6-0, 6-1 in second singles. Gandon won 7-5, 6-1 in third singles, and Dibenedetto swept 6-0, 6-0 in fourth singles before Conway won 6-2, 6-1 in fifth singles. DeYoung's score was 6-4, 1-3 before the weather prevented sixth singles from being completed.
The Eagles host Mt. Aloysius Friday at 4:00 pm.
