PITTSBURGH, Pa.- The Juniata men's tennis team defeated Franciscan, 6-3, Saturday at the Lakevue Athletic Complex.
Ilia Buralkin (Moscow, Russia / -) won, 6-2, 6-3 at first singles, Xavier Huerta (Grand Prairie, Texas / Mansfield Lake Ridge) won, 6-3, 6-0 at second singles, and William Michelson (Old Mystic, Conn. / Stonington) won, 6-2, 6-4 at third singles. Seth Strawser (Richfield, Pa. / Juniata HS) won, 6-2, 0-6, (10-8) at fourth singles, Rob Kauffman (Broomall, Pa. / Marple Newtown) fell, 6-3, 6-3 at fifth singles, and Trey France (Blue Bell, Pa. / Wissachichon) fell 6-4, 6-1 at sixth singles.
Franciscan made the NCAA tournament after winning the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
Buralkin and Huerta won, 8-0 at first doubles, Michelson and Strawser won, 8-2 at second doubles, and France and Kauffman fell, 8-3 at third doubles.
