HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's tennis team defeated Drew, 8-1 in a conference match on a sunny afternoon.
Matyas Kohout (Prague, Czech Republic / Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) won 6-2, 6-4 at first singles, Daichi McAuliffe-Uchida (Wantage, N.J. / High Point Regional HS) earned a 7-6, 6-2 win at second singles, and Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass. / Newton North) won 6-2, 2-1 at third singles. Dan Ansel (Lancaster, Pa. / Manheim Township) earned a 4-6, 6-3, 10-0 at fourth singles and Jason Gerber (Commack, N.Y. / Commack High School) won 6-2, 6-2 at fifth singles.
The team of Kohout and Ansel won 8-1 at first doubles. Grafe and Gerber won 8-3 at second doubles. McAuliffe-Uchida and Rory Donaldson (East Yorkshire, England / Beverley Grammar School) won 8-6 at third doubles.
The Eagles will host Scranton tomorrow for senior day at 12:00PM.
