HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Eagles beat Elizabethtown College 9-0 in another conference competition on Sunday, improving their record to 5-1 for the season.

Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) and Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay/EIHU) took Blue Jays duo Alex Machalick and Connor Martin in first doubles by a score of 8-6. In the second spot, Matyas Kohout (Prague, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) and Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass./Newton North) came out on top 8-3 against Tyler Spinello and Nathan Dowling while with Dan Ansel (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and Jason Gerber (Commack, NY/Commack High School) knocked off Matthew Hornbaker and Nick Strobel 8-3 in third doubles.

In singles play, Polisena beat his opponent 6-3, 6-0. Liberman won second singles 6-1, 6-1, Kohout took the third singles victory 6-3, 6-3, and Daichi McAuliffe-Uchida Wantage, NJ/High Point Regional HS) topped Spinello 6-0, 6-2. Ansel outplayed Dowling in the fifth spot (6-2, 6-3) and Grafe took sixth singles 6-0, 6-2.

Juniata will return to the court next Saturday, April 15, on home turf against Goucher at 1:00 PM.
