Bryan Gregory won his fourth singles match in a row on Sunday.

TOWSON, Md.- Prior to today, the Juniata men's tennis team had not lost a regular season conference match in three years. That impressive streak ended as Goucher defeated the Eagles by the score of 6-3. It was the first time the two teams have played each other since Juniata's 5-3 win over the Gopher's in last season's Landmark Championship.

The last time the Eagles lost a Landmark regular season match was April 20, 2013 at home against Catholic. Juniata had a 17-match winning streak going into its match with Goucher.

Juniata took one match in doubles play. Bryan Gregory (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass./Newton North) held off the pair of Josiah Meekins and Elliot Diehl at third doubles 8-5.

JC had three matches go to three sets in singles competition and were victorious in two of them. Gregory ran his winning streak to four as he won 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 against Diehl at fourth flight. Daichi McAuliffe-Uchida (Wantage, N.J./High Point Regional) went to a super tie-breaker with Josh Goldberg and won 2-6, 7-5. 1-0 (10-3) at sixth flight. Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay/EIHU) saw his five-match winning streak come to an end with a 6-3, 3-6, 4-6 defeat to Jack Hodges at second singles.

The Eagles will play at Penn State Altoona on Tuesday starting at 4:00 p.m. Juniata will host Drew in its next conference match at Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
