Men’s Tennis Opens Florida Trip With 7-2 Win Over King’s

ORLANDO, Fla.- The Juniata men's tennis team began its Florida Trip with a match against King's College on Monday morning. The Eagles won by the score of 7-2.

 

Juniata claimed all three doubles matches. The pair of Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Austrailia/Saint Ignatius) and Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay/EIHU) won their first match of the season with an 8-6 victory over George Parkhurst and Nathan Carl. Mike Lifshitz (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Academy) and Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) paired up for the first time this season and won 8-4 over Matt James and John Labiak. Bryan Gregory (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Matyas Kohout (Krhanice, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) won for the first time 8-3.

 

The Monarchs won at both first and second singles. Moore won his first match of the season as he defeated Ryan Hegarty 6-3, 6-2 at third singles. Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass./Newton North) won his first collegiate match at fifth flight 6-2, 6-2 over Labiak.

 

The Eagles play Ohio Wesleyan this afternoon. Match time will be at 3 p.m.
