LEXINGTON, VA- The Juniata men's tennis team knew they had a tall task in front of them when they faced #4 Emory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at the Washington and Lee Tennis Courts. Emory won all three doubles matches and needed just two wins in singles to defeat JC 5-0.

Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/St. Ignatius) and Matyas Kohout (Krhanice, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) picked up two points in first doubles against Ian Wagner and Alex Ruderman but ultimately fell 8-2. Sam Brumbaugh (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) and Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) tallied a point in their match with Ian Wagner and Alex Ruderman and were defeated by the score of 8-1.

Moore and Brumbaugh's singles matches were the only ones to go to completion. Moore dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to Wagner and Brumbaugh fell 6-0, 6-0 to Aman Manji.

JC ends their season with a final record of 17-5. The team not only tied the record for most wins in a season but also won its first conference championship and its first NCAA Tournament match.
