HUNTINGDON, PA- In a rematch of last year's Landmark Conference Championship, the results this time were one-sided as the men's tennis team dominated Catholic 8-1 on Saturday afternoon at Rafensberger Court. The win improves the Eagles' record to 2-4 while the Cardinals fall to 2-5.

The first doubles pair of Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) and Matyas Kohout (Krhanice, Czech Republic / Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) had the closest match. The duo led 2-0 early on but fell behind 6-3. Polisena and Kohout rallied to force a tiebreaker and came out with a 9-8 win.

Polisena had the lone defeat for the Eagles on the day. He went to three sets with Juan Loridoa at first singles but ultimately fell 1-6, 6-2, 6-1. Kohout won his match at second singles against Jon Lasota in a super tie-breaker (6-0, 3-6, 10-4).

Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) defeated Conor Wilson at fifth singles, 7-5, 6-0. He leads the Eagles in overall wins with eight.

The men will return to action on Wednesday on the road against Messiah. Match time will be at 3:30 p.m.
