HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College men's tennis closed out its 2012 home slate with a 9-0 win over Susquehanna University, Friday afternoon on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.
Juniata (7-11, 2-3 Landmark) opened by taking all three doubles matches, one by forfeit.
Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and Tucker Good (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) posted an 8-1 win at no. 1 doubles over Susquehanna's Mats Haaland and Matthew Quadrini. The Juniata tandem of Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) followed up with a 9-7 victory at no. 2 doubles, dispatching the Crusader duo of Alec Green and Grant Uber.
Juniata followed up with five singles victories on the court, with no. 6 singles going to the Eagles by forfeit. Four of the five singles wins were in straight sets; only Morey's no. 3 singles win over Uber required a supertiebreaker for Morey to pull out the 5-7, 7-5, 10-6 win.
