Women’s tennis falls in battle with Saint Francis

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College's battles on the tennis court with Division I Saint Francis have been spirited in recent years, and Sunday's clash on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts was no exception.

However the Eagles came up short, as they dropped a 7-2 decision to the Red Flash, with one win in doubles and another in singles competition.

The Eagle tandem of Amanda Fontana (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) and Katie Healy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) posted a win at no. 1 doubles over Saint Francis' Stephanie Rivera and Caitlin Bart. Healy then went on to defeat Abby Ball, 1-6, 6-2, 6-1, at no. 2 singles.
