DALLAS, Pa.- The Juniata men's swimming team competed in the first day of the Cougar Splash at Misericordia University. 

Jay Gajiwala opened the day for Juniata in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in 20th place with a time of 7:01.75.  

Matthew Tiernan and Isaac March each competed in the 50-yard freestyle. Tiernan claimed 35th with a time of 26.65, and March was right behind in 36th place with a time of 26.94. 

Juniata returns to Misericordia tomorrow at 9:30 am and 4:30 pm for the conclusion of the Cougar Splash.
