Men's Swimming Hosts Lycoming

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's swimming team competed in their second meet of 2023-24, hosting Lycoming College at the Binder Natatorium on Saturday afternoon, falling by a score of 71-35. 

Jay Gajiwala posted a pair of personal bests, winning the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 6:07.98, while he was in second place in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:49.55.  

Matthew Tiernan, Isaac March, and Gajiwala each competed in the 50 freestyle. Tiernan had Juniata's best time, finishing in second place with a time of 31.58. Gajiwala was in third place with a time of 32.08, while March finished the event in 33.56 for fourth place.  

Tiernan and March each logged a 100 freestyle time, with Tiernan finishing in 3rd place in 1:17.29, while March was fourth with a time of 1:18.60. 

March logged his first 100 breaststroke time with Juniata, finishing in second place in 1:40.26. 

Tiernan logged his first 100-meter backstroke time for Juniata, claiming second place with a time of 1:30.52. 

Juniata concludes a homestand next week as they host Moravian University on Saturday, November 4th, at 1:00 p.m.
