Matthew Betting returns to the Juniata men’s soccer staff as an assistant coach for his ninth season and his eighth as the primary goalkeeper coach.
Betting, a 2002 Juniata graduate with a history and psychology degree, recorded 11 goals and fives assists for a total 27 career points during his four-year campaign as an Eagle. He also served as the team’s captain in 2001 during his senior season.
In high school, Betting was a member of Altoona Area High School’s first PIAA District 6 championship squad in 1997 and was named Second Team All-District for his performances at both the forward and defender positions.
