Eagles Push Past Monarchs in Second Half

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's soccer team scored two in the second half to beat King's 2-0 Saturday night after a scoreless first half.

The Monarchs outshot the Eagles 4-1 in the first half, as neither team could find the back of hte net.

The Eagles made up for this in the second half. Less than ten minutes in, the Monarchs fouled Brandon Marzula about thirty yards out. Emmet Young took the free kick, placed the ball between the jumping wall and landed the ball in the bottom right corner of the net. With 20 minutes left in the game, Ian Edwards was fouled in the box trying to gain possession. Edwards stepped forward to take the penalty and placed the ball past the keeper in the bottom right corner of the goal.

Axel Grater made six saves on the night. 

The Eagles head to Hood on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
