Eagles End Season With Loss at Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. – The men's soccer team traveled to Scranton on Saturday and lost 1-0 against the Royals. 

The Eagles were outshot by Scranton 16 shots to two, as Axel Grater totaled nine saves on the day.

The Royals began the game with a shot in the first 43 seconds of play. The next four shots from Scranton resulted in three Grater saves in the first 15 minutes of the game. Grater tallied his fourth save in the half in the 22nd minute. 

Gavin Rauhut missed right in the 32nd minute trying to get Juniata on the board. In the 42nd minute, Ian Edwards missed the goal wide to the left, getting past the Royal defense. 

Right before halftime, Scranton scored their single goal of the game to head into the break with the lead.

Grater had five more saves in the second half, stopping the Royals from adding to their scorecard.

The Eagles end their season 8-9-1, their most wins since 2013.
