River Hawks Strike Three Times in First Half as Eagles Fall on the Road

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer team lost 4-0 on the road at Susquehanna, Wednesday evening at Sassafras Field. 

The River Hawks broke through in the 18th minute as they smashed a loose ball into the top left corner of the goal. 

Eleven minutes later, Susquehanna doubled their lead on a cross from the left side that was headed in. In the 34th minute, they tacked on another as they led 3-0 at halftime.  

A minute and a half in the second half, Blake Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa. / Lower Dauphin) tested the Susquehanna keeper for the first time, but the goalie was equal to the shot. 

In the 52nd minute, Susquehanna added one more to complete the scoring.  

Wyatt Page (King of Prussia, Pa. / Shipley) got a look at goal in the 65th minute, but again the keeper was up to the challenge.

Susquehanna held a 9-5 edge in shots, each team had three corners in the game. 

Juniata will return to action, Saturday 1:00 against Drew.
