Men's Soccer Selected Eighth in Landmark Preseason Poll

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer team was selected eighth in this season's Landmark Conference preseason poll.

Catholic finished in first with four first place votes with Drew in second. Elizabethtown slotted in third and Scranton in fourth. 

Seniors, Jarrod Gibson (Abington, Pa. / Abington), Johnny King (York Springs, Pa. / Bermudian Springs), Wyatt Page (King of Prussia, Pa. / Shipley), Mark Wolf (Lebanon, Pa. / Cedar Crest), and Andrew Yeich (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown Area) will look to lead the Eagles. Gibson played in 17 games with one start, King started in 16 games, Page started in all 17 games, Wolf started 16 games, and Yeich saw time in the goal for seven games. Juniata brings back 10 juniors and seven sophomores. 

The Eagles also return Landmark All-Conference second teamer, Bass Diakhoumpa (Dakar, Senegal / Mercersburg Academy). Diakoumpa lead the team in scoring, totaling five goals last season.

Juniata kicks off their season this Friday, August 30th at 6:00pm, as they will host Denison.
