CRESSON, Pa.-The Juniata men's soccer team dropped a tough 3-2 decision at Mount Aloysius Tuesday evening at the Walker Field Complex.

It was a busy opening 15 minutes for Matt Mottershead (Medford, N.J. / Shawnee) in the goal as he made four saves early on. Mount Aloysius eventually broke through in the 21stminute, via a long ball into the bock that was finished at the near post.

Juniata looked for an equalizer, as a shot from Jack Hermann (Royersford, Pa. / Spring Ford) drew a save from the keeper and Johnny King's (York Springs, Pa. / Bermudian Springs) effort was wide of the mark. In the 30th minute, Juniata was given a penalty and Wyatt Page (King of Prussia, Pa. / Shipley) converted to tie the score at 1-1.

Inside of a minute before the halftime whistle, Nathan Woods (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) was first to the ball after a scramble in the box and fired it in to send JC into the locker room up 2-1.

Five minutes into the second half, the Mounties scored off a header on a corner to knot things at 2-2.

In the 70th minute, Mount Aloysius scored what wound up being the winning goal on a low cross to the back post that their forward tapped in to make it 3-2.
