Cardinals Tally Seven as Eagles Fall in the Nations Captiol

WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Juniata men's soccer team suffered a 7-0 defeat at Catholic, Saturday afternoon at Cardinal Stadium. 

The Cardinals struck three times in the opening 11 minutes as they led 3-0 early. Catholic scored three more times in the half as Juniata trailed 6-0 heading into the locker room at half. 

The Eagle got eight shots off in the second half, with shots from Nathan Woods (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) and Max Muller (Hummelstown, Pa. / Central Dauphin HS) forcing the Cardinal keepers into making saves.

Catholic tacked on final goal in the 69thminute to make it 7-0.

Jacob Owings (Hanover, Pa. / Littlestown) made seven saves in goal for the Eagles.  

Juniata will host Susquehanna, Wednesday at 7:00.
