Late Terror Goals End Rally in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Md.- The Juniata men's soccer team fell, 4-1 at McDaniel, Tuesday afternoon.

Wyatt Page (King of Prussia, Pa. / Shipley) scored the lone goal for the Eagles. Goalie, Jacob Owings (Hanover, Pa. / Littlestown) had two saves while Matt Mottershead (Medford, N.J. / Shawnee) had three saves in goal. 

McDaniel got on the board early in the 10th minute. Eight minutes later, Juniata had their chance to tie the game. After a corner kick, Bass Diakhoumpa (Dakar, Senegal / Mercersburg Academy) took a shot, but it went wide. In the 23rd minute, Diakoumpa took another shot on goal but it was saved by the Green Terror goalie. 

In the second half, the Green Terror scored first in the 63rd minute. In the 79th minute, the Eagles cut the score to 2-1. Page shot from the top of the 18 and right into the lower corner of the cage. Three minutes later, McDaniel scored another goal from the top left of the box across the goal to the far corner. In the final three minutes of the game, Tristan Moore (Westminster, Md. / Westminster) took a shot but it was saved by the McDaniel goalie. In the 88th minute, McDaniel scored the final goal of the game. 

McDaniel held a 17-6 edge in shots and a 5-1 edge in corner kicks. 

The Eagles play again this Saturday, October 6th at 1:00PM as they will host Goucher in conference play.
