Blue Jays Blank Eagles

MANHEIM, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer team fell, 4-0 against Elizabethtown at Weaver Road Fields, Saturday afternoon.

In the 22nd minute of the first half, the Blue Jays scored first with a cross from the left. About a minute later, Elizabethtown scored again after avoiding the goalie. In the 24th minute, Colin Daly (Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) headed a shot, but it was saved by the Blue Jay goalie. In the 36th minute, Juniata got another attempt at a goal. After a corner kick put in by Logan Storti (Elverson, Pa. / Owen J. Roberts), Max Muller (Hummelstown, Pa. / Central Dauphin HS) took a shot but it was blocked. With five minutes left in the first half, the Eagles got another chance to cut the score. Matt Hulsebosch (Lansing, N.Y. / Lansing) took a shot, but it was saved by the Elizabethtown goalie. 

In the second half, Elizabethtown scored two more times in the 66th and 74th minute. 

Elizabethtown held an edge in shots, 18-5 and an edge in corner kicks, 5-3. 

Andrew Yeich (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown Area) had four saves in goal. 

The Eagles will travel to McDaniel on Tuesday, October 6th for a 4:00PM start.
