HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer team lost 3-0 to Scranton, Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
Logan Tackett (Herndon, Va./Herndon) made eight saves in goal for the Eagles, with several of the saves coming on shots from point-blank range.
The Royals scored 18 minutes in off a low cross from the left wing that the Scranton forward buried into the left corner of the net. Scranton threatened several times over the rest of the half, but Tackett and the defense held strong as Juniata went into the half trailing 1-0.
The Eagles continued to battle in the opening 25 minutes of the second half, but in the 71st minute Scranton found a second goal and 10 minutes later scored once more via a tap-in to go up 3-0.
Juniata will host Wilson, Tuesday at 7:30.
