Men’s Soccer Drops 2-0 Decision to Arcadia

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -  The Juniata men's soccer team fell to Arcadia 2-0 this evening at Gibbel Stadium.

What Happened: The Knights jumped ahead of the Eagles early, scoring in the eleventh minute of the game. Arcadia stayed aggressive on offense and sank another into the back of the net to go up 2-0 at the 23-minute mark of the half. Juniata was able to hold the Knights in the second half, but the team was unable to find the net themselves. 

Arcadia held an 11-2 advantage in shots in the first half, but Juniata was able to buckle down on defense in the second half with the Knights holding only a 3-2 advantage.

Andrew Yeich (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) started in the goal for the Eagles, logging six saves. Jacob Owings (Hanover, Pa./Littlestown) was between the posts in the second half and had one save.

Looking Ahead: Juniata will travel to St. Vincent College on Tuesday, Sept. 6 for their third game of the season. The Eagles will then return home next Saturday, Sept. 9 to play King's College at 7:30pm.
