Drew Shuts Out Juniata 4-0

THE STORY: Despite 14 saves from Logan Tackett, Juniata fell to conference-rival Drew 4-0 on Saturday, Oct. 8.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Drew tested the Eagles from the beginning, taking 13 shots, 11 on goal, in the first half alone. Juniata kept up with them, keeping them scoreless, until the 31st minute. The Rangers scored from the close right wing. Juniata trailed Drew 1-0 at halftime.

In the 57th minute, the Rangers extended their lead to 2-0 with a header shot landing in the back of the net. Wyatt Page (King of Prussia, Pa./Shipley) was able to take one shot on goal before Drew regained possession of the ball, scoring from the far right wing. They tacked on one more in the 76th on a header on an open net.

BETWEEN THE POSTS: Freshman Tackett recorded 14 saves, tying his career high in the first half (10). Tackett's 14 saves is the most by a Juniata goalkeeper in six years. 

BOX SCORE COMPARISON: The Rangers outshot the Eagles 23-8 with 19 shots on goal. Dani Meyer-Arrivillaga (Durham, N.C./Carolina Friends) led the Juniata offense with three shots, all on goal.

WHAT'S NEXT?: The Eagles travel to Penn College on Wednesday, Oct. 12 for a 7 p.m. game.
