Eagles Fall in Game One of Lynchburg Tournament

LYNCHBURG, VA. -- The Eagles' men's soccer team suffered a 9-0 loss on Saturday, Sept. 10 against Lynchburg at the Lynchburg Shellenberger Memorial Tournament.

The Hornets recorded 24 shots, 14 on goal, while the Eagles recorded only four shots and two on goal. Dani Meyer-Arrivillaga (Durham, N.C./Carolina Friends) put up three of Juniata's shots; sophomore John Miller (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) chanced the other.

Ben Forgas (Manassas, Va./C.D. Hylton) and Logan Tackett (Herndon, Va./Herndon) split the game in goal. Tackett got the start for the Eagles, saving three of the Hornets' eight shots on goal.  

Lynchburg was ranked at No. 4 in their preseason conference poll.

Juniata looks to rebound against Roanoke at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11 in Lynchburg.
