BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer team began its 2016 season on the road at the Nate Ferraco Classic hosted by Geneva College. The Golden Tornadoes won by the score of 3-0.
"With some inexperienced players on the field to start the match, we started slowly," said head coach Dan Dubois. "We then fought back the rest of the game. We have to get our bearings and get our ship righted for tomorrow for the full match."
Juniata was outshot 22-5. Geneva had eight corner kicks to the Eagles' three.
Logan Tackett (Herndon, Va./Herndon) made his first career start in goal for the Eagles. He stopped five shots on the afternoon.
The Eagles play Grove City on the second day of the Classic. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
