GREENSBURG, PA – The Juniata men's soccer team took a 5-4 victory from the Pitt.-Greensburg Bobcats Tues. afternoon. The Eagles and Bobcats were tied at 4 in the 64^th minute when Aaron Kulig (Green Lane, PA / Boyertown) skipped one past the goalie and in for the game winner. 

Pitt.-Greensburg would strike first in the 18^th minute of the game. Jake Lauderbaugh scored on a header off a corner to put the Bobcats up 1-0 early. Juniata would respond on a goal in the same fashion later in the half.

Sheridan Doan (Baldwin, MD / Dulaney) sent the corner kick over to Juniata's leading goal-scorer Dani Meyer-Arrivillaga (Durham, NC / Carolina Friends) for the equalizer in the 40^thminute mark.

Just one minute later, Dylan Thompson (Broomfield, CO / Peak to Peak Charter) got the Eagles ahead 2-1 on a goal to the upper 90. The goal was Thompson's first of the season and fourth of his career. 

At the half, Juniata held on to a 2-1 lead. 

The Eagles carried their momentum into the second half, scoring twice within the first ten minutes. 

"It was a crazy second half," head coach Dan Dubois said. "We came out strong and got the two goals out of the gate, but then they got three in a row to tie the game."

Nathan Woods (Huntingdon, PA / Huntingdon Area) notched his first collegiate goal against the Bobcats. Woods' goal put Juniata up 3-1 just six minutes into the second half.

Doan followed with his first collegiate goal in the 54^th minute to give JC a 4-1 lead. Doan finished the game with three points.

After Doan's goal, Juniata was outshot 4-1 with three of UPG's shots turning into goals.

Just before the equalizer, Juniata's Chandler Steffen (Lewisberry, PA / Red Land) received his second card of the game, forcing the Eagles to play down a man. 

"They took the adversity of being down a player and used it to come together," Dubois said. "After that we really took possession of the ball, Adam scored the go-ahead and we kept them away from the goal."

James Johnson (Cumberland, MD / Fort Hill) got the start between the posts for the Eagles. Johnson recorded three saves and helped Juniata to a 2-1 lead at the end of the first hlaf.  

Achim Schwemmlein (NRW/Germany) took over for Johnson in the second. The Bobcats were putting pressure on the keeper after Juniata regained the lead, but he held strong, recorded three saves and secured the win for JC.

The Eagles wrap up their season Sat. Oct. 31 against the Catholic Cardinals at 1pm.
