Juniata falls to Moravian in Landmark Match

BETHLEHEM, PA – The Juniata men's soccer team (2-9-1, 0-4 Landmark) was defeated by the Moravian Greyhounds 1-2 Saturday afternoon.

Moravian jumped ahead of the Eagles early in the match, scoring their first goal in the fourth minute of the game.

Juniata responded with a goal of their own minutes later. Adam Heller (Rockville, MD / Colonel Zadak Magruder) found Dani Meyer-Arrivillaga (Durham, NC / Carolina Friends) and Meyer-Arrivillaga sank the shot for the equalizer. Meyer-Arrivillaga finished the game with four shots, two on goal.

The score remained tied at 1 through the half.

The Greyhounds scored the game-winner minutes into the second period and would fend off six shots from Juniata to hold on to the 2-1 lead to win the game.

With just under 14 minutes remaining, Reese Fisher (State College, PA / State College Area) would just miss the equalizer on a header that hit the post.
