Washington, DC, Juniata men's soccer played their final game of the season at Catholic earlier today. The Eagles fell to the Cardinals 2-0. Catholic entered the game second in the Landmark and will be one of two teams hosting a conference semifinal. Juniata was shutout for the twelfth time this season.
The Eagles were outshot 19-2. 11 of the Cardinals shots were on goal. Juniata was unable to get a shot on net. The defense has been the Eagles strength all season and continued to be today. Keeper James Johnson (Cumberland, MD / Fort Hill) made 9 saves and held the Cardinals scoreless for most of the match. Catholic scored in the 84th minute and added their second four minutes later to seal the victory.
