Scranton, Pa.,  Juniata College men's soccer continued to play well defensively, but could not get the offense going as the Eagles were shutout for the sixth time in their last seven games.

Throughout the season, Juniata's offense has not been able to capitalize on shots or create good opportunities for themselves. Such was the case today at Scranton, as the Eagles failed to get a shot off in the first half and were outshot 19-5. As head coach Dan Dubois said after the match that the team, "didn't exactly get what we were looking for out of the game today. We still defended well and played well through the midfield. We played with a lot of energy and at times outplayed our opponent. We weren't able to get as many opportunities as we need to. It's the law of percentages. You have to create opportunities to succeed and right now we're just not doing that. Its something we'll continue to work on. We'll be better. We still have seven games left. While the seasons not what we wanted it to be when we started out, we're improving everyday."

Despite the lack of offense and losing their top two keepers, the Eagles have managed to stay in every game they've played this season. The coach added that "we're in every game. You can't judge our season off the stat sheet. We're playing decent soccer, we're just coming up on the wrong end."

The Eagles will try to get things going as they finish up a five game road stint against Penn State-Berks on Tuesday. The match is set to start at 3:30 pm.
