Dallas, Pa., Juniata College men's soccer played well, but came up short earlier today in a 1-0 match at Misericordia. The match remained tied until ten minutes into the second half when the Cougars were able to put one into the net on a header off of a header.

The Eagles were stifled by a tough Misericordia defense that allowed only two shots on goal. On the other end, Juniata keeper James Johnson (Cumberland, Md. / Fort Hill) had a strong day in goal, making nine saves. Head coach Dan Dubois was really pleased with how well his goalie played, pointing out, "James made some great saves. Their keeper had to make some tough plays at the end."

Overall, the coach felt it was a great game. Dubois made some lineup changes and was, "pleased with the results. It was a good team experience. We played very well. It was a heck of a turn around from Saturday night." He would add that after facing a strong Cougar team, the Eagles were, "looking forward to Landmark Conference play this weekend."

Juniata is now 2-9 and will look to get things going at Scranton on Saturday. Match time is set for 1 pm.
