MADISON N.J. – Both teams played through over 80 minutes of scoreless soccer before Drew scored the game winner over Juniata with five minutes left to play. The 1-0 win clinched a playoff berth for the Rangers (10-4-2, 4-2). Juniata (8-8, 1-5 Landmark) battled hard defensively throughout the match, earning 10 saves as a team.
Senior Ezra Cassel (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) finished with a game-high nine saves after 90 minutes in goal. He leads the team with 58 saves this year and has over a .700 save percentage.
The Eagles next travel to Misericordia on Wednesday, Oct. 24. The last time Juniata faced Misericordia, the game ended in a double overtime tie of 1-1. This will be Juniata's last non-conference match of the season.
