Juniata men’s soccer win streak comes to an end

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Juniata men's soccer was defeated 4-1 by King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. on Saturday afternoon to end Juniata's five game win streak. 

Juniata's only goal of the game came in the 65th minute from unassisted Nick Stone-Weiss, (North Olmsted, Ohio/North Olmstead) who shot to the low right corner of the net and out of the reach of Brandon Raynor, King's goalkeeper.

The Monarch's scored just nine minutes into the game and followed it up with a goal two minutes later. Daniel Hernandez, who assisted the first King's goal and scored the second, got his second mark of the game in the 46th minute. The scoring ended at the 89:28 mark for King's with a Brian Alifano goal. 

Ezra Cassel (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) allowed all four King's goals and recorded five saves in all 90 minutes of play. 

Juniata hosts Lycoming College on Wednesday, September 19 at 4:30 p.m. at Winton Hill Field.
