Blue Jays Top Eagles

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- Juniata's Men's lacrosse team traveled to Elizabethtown College in their penultimate match of the season on Tuesday night and lost by a final score of 26-3.

Against the highly skilled Blue Jays, the Eagles struggled to produce much on offense. Their three unassisted goals from junior midfielder Reuben Stoll (1) and senior attacker Kolton Black (2) were not enough to compete. Stoll's goal came early in the first period in response to the Blue Jays' opening two, but a rout of goals from the Blue Jays quickly followed.

The Eagles didn't respond again until it was 10-1, and Black netted his first goal in the second period. By halftime, Black had found his second, and the scoreline was 13-3.

The Eagles couldn't find the netting in the second half despite their 14 total shot attempts in the game. The game ended 26-3.

Three goalies shared time in net for the Eagles. Junior Ryan Madison made 18 saves, sophomore Griffin Umstead made four, and freshman Joshua Trovinger added one.

Juniata moved to 2-14 on the season and 0-8 in conference play. They will wrap up the season this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Drew University.
