Pacers Down Eagles

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's lacrosse team battled valiantly but ultimately lost to visiting Marywood, 16-3, Saturday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.

Jack M Loucks (Toronto, Canada / Minden) tallied a goal and an assist for the Eagles while Aiden Duran (Walden, N.Y. / Valley Central) and Jacob Wallman (Arbutus, Md. / Western Tech) amassed a goal apiece.  Justin Toney (Westminster, Md. / Winters Mill) made 19 saves in goal.

Wallman scored inside of a minute to give JC the lead for a moment, but the Pacers took control from there as they scored six straight goals to retake the lead with authority. Loucks found Duran who caught the ball, spun and fired to get one back for JC.

Loucks scored the first goal of the second to narrow the gap to three before Marywood scored four unanswered to take a 10-3 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Pacers struck six times in the second half, three in each quarter, to complete the scoreline.

Juniata begins conference play next Saturday on the road at Goucher. The game time is 1:00.
