Jimmy has been involved in the game of golf for his entire life. He attended Tyrone Area High school, where he competed in the PIAA State Championship tournament his sophomore, junior, and senior years, finishing 14th all three times. Ferguson also racked up 2 PIAA District 6 Individual titles, 4 Mountain Athletic Conference MVP’s, 2 Wheeling Invitational titles, and 3 Frank Kiraly Memorial awards, presented yearly by the Altoona Mirror for the area’s top golfer. Following High School, Ferguson went on to play Div. I golf for Saint Francis University. In his sophomore season, Ferguson was on the 2013 NEC Conference Championship winning team for SFU in Daytona Beach, FL., and earned the opportunity to play in the NCAA Div. I Regional Tournament, held at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. Throughout high school, college, and up to the present point in time, Ferguson has and continues to compete in state-wide events through the West Penn Golf Association, and the Pennsylvania Golf Association. State events he has competed in include the Pennsylvania Amateur, the Pennsylvania Open, the West Penn Amateur, the West Penn Open, the West Penn Mid-Am, and United States Open & United States Amateur Qualifiers, among many other events. Ferguson currently resides in Sinking Valley and works at Penn State University.
