
Sinking Valley, Pa.- The Mountain Valley Classic kicked off today with round one at Sinking Valley Country Club. Sending two teams the A team shot 319 with the B team trailing shooting 321 through the first 18 holes of the tournament.
Harrison Levithan and Griffin Snowberger led the Eagles today both shooting a 6 over 78's for the A team. Levithan shot even par on the back 9 finishing with a birdie on the 18th in front of his teammates. Ethan Brown started strong with a birdie on the par 5 first. He would later finish with an 87 and looks to rebound tomorrow. Ben Pintof started his second year shooting 82 complete with a birdie on the 8th. In his collegiate debut, Isaak Bloom fired an 81 and looks to bounce back strong tomorrow.
Elliot Lingle led the B team in his collegiate debut, with a 78. His back-to-back birdies on the 13th and 14th holes proved to be pivotal in a 1 over back 9. Kole Washleski made his NCAA debut today shooting 80 with a birdie on the first. Ian Kennett carded an 80 with birdies on the 4th and 13th. Larry Singer turned in an 83 with a birdie on the last hole of the day. Colin Wible continued to be long off the tee at the start of his second season carding a 91.
The Eagles return to action tomorrow in the Mountain Valley Classic at Summit Country Club where they will look to rebound.
