Men's Golf Opens Fall Sixth at Etown Fall Invite

HERSHEY, Pa.- The Juniata men's golf team kicked off the fall 2023 campaign in the one-day Elizabethtown College Invitational at the Hershey Country Club East Course, a par 71 course. 

Three freshmen competed collegiately for the first time, including Benjamin Pintof, who marked his debut with a round two under par. He finished with a 69 to tie for second place on the day. Kyle Rittersbach was the next-best scorer for the Eagles with an 81. 

Harrison Levithan finished the day with an 85, while Kamden Clapper and Ethan Brown ended their first fall date with scores of 88, tying for the final portion of the team score. 

Of the 12 schools competing, the Eagles found a sixth-place finish with a score of 323.  

The Juniata men's golf team will send multiple squads out for competition this weekend, as the Eagles plan to play in the Cardinal Fall Classic and Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic, both two-day events on Saturday, September 16th, and Sunday, September 17th. Both days of the Cardinal Fall Classic will take place at the Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown, Md. The Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic will start at the Summit Country Club before concluding at the Sinking Valley Country Club.
