Eagles Stand in Ninth Through Day One of Augustine Intercollegiate

STAFFORD, Va.- The Juniata men's golf team opened their second tournament of the spring with day one of the Augustine Intercollegiate hosted by Arcadia University at the Augustine Golf Club, a par 71 course. 

The team of Caden HendricksonKamden ClapperConnor KriskoLarry Singer, and Ethan Brown are the five competing in the weekend's tournament.  

Clapper and Krisko ended the day tied for 39th with a score of 86. Clapper found birdies on the eighth and 18th holes. Singer and Hendrickson rounded out the team scoring for Juniata with scores of 90 to tie for 45th place. Brown ended the day with a score of 91, finishing tied for 51st with birdies on the eighth and 16th holes in the first round.  

Through day one, Juniata stands in ninth place with a score of 352. They are one stroke down from eighth place Marymount and 15 strokes away from seventh place Elizabethtown. 

The Eagles return to the Augustine Golf Club for day two tomorrow. The day begins at 10:30 am.
