Men's Golf Wraps Up Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic at Summit Country Club

CRESSON, Pa. - The Juniata men's golf team rounded out the two-day Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic at the Summit Country Club on Saturday afternoon. The Summit Country Club course is a par 72 that totals 6748 yards. 

Kamden Clapper led the scoring for the Eagles with 81, starting the day strongly by going +3 on the front nine. Klapper finished the tournament tied for 31st place with a combined score of 165. Klapper bested his Summit Country Club score of 94 set in 2021. Connor Krisko followed with an 87 to finish the Classic tied for 42nd with a total score of 175. Larry Singer scored an 89 on Saturday and finished the tournament with a score of 183 to place in 53rd. Caden Hendrickson followed for the Eagles with a score of 91 to round out team scoring for the Eagles on day two. He finished the tournament in 37th place with an overall score of 172. Ethan Brown had a score of 97 and finished in 57th with a tournament score of 191. 

Several other members of the team were featured as non-scoring participants at Summit Country Club. Luke Boyle had a score of 94 that included birdies on the seventh and 15th holes. Shawn Gamble scored 101, Nicholas McCann went 103, and Mason Yeager had a score of 113.  

The men's golf team finished the tournament with a total score of 695 to place 11th after two rounds of play on two separate courses.  

The Eagles return to play Monday, September 26, at the Stevenson Fall Invitational from the Piney Branch Golf Course.
